Check your download
This fingerprint (SHA-256) lets you confirm that the file you downloaded is exactly the one we published. In PowerShell, in the folder of the file, run:

- Windows 10 or 11
- Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome installed (most computers already have one)
- About 4 MB of disk space for the program, plus room for your data
- No internet connection, and no administrator rights, to run it
Installing
- Double-click Mercista-Setup.exe and follow the installer.
- If Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” message, click More info, then Run anyway. (Our installer is not digitally signed yet, which is why Windows asks.)
- Open Mercista from the Start menu. A quick setup window asks for your language, currency and company details.
- To keep your data when you update, just install the newer version over the old one. When you uninstall, the program asks whether to delete your data.
Why does Windows warn me?
Windows shows that message for programs from publishers it does not know yet. It does not mean the file is damaged. Use the fingerprint above to check that your copy is genuine.
